Who We Are
Here at the Church of God of Mt. Vernon our mission is to
Make disciples for Christ by connecting people with Christ and people with people.
God has given us a specific vision for this congregation. It is a people’s vision to reach the lost and hurting ones and bring them to the fold. The Church of God of Mount Vernon was formed in February 1982 with a genuine commitment to serve God and people. Our goal is to serve as a Christ-centered and community-minded place of worship for people of every nation, race, ethnicity and tongue.

Bishop Clifford E. Thompson’s lifelong goal is to raise up a new generation of disciples who will fulfill the Great Commission of Christ and promote Christ’s Kingdom.
